Elderly Care in Churchtown-Nutgrove

| I have been working in the health industry, as a nurse, since 2019. I started as a surgical nurse, working closely with surgeons during mainly heart and liver transplants. I've done that from 2019 up until 2023, when I decided to give my life a 180° shift, moving to Ireland. I got here in May 2023, and since then, I have worked for 6 months in a nursing home, as a HCA, where I had to look after residents with all sorts of medical prognostics, from mobility issues, communication impediments and dementia. During that time, I had training offered by the company that helped me to build the required expertise to deal with a different reality than that that I was used to, working in a surgical theater. Shortly after my departure from that nursing home, I started to work, privately for a lady, looking after her husband. I also work for a home care company during a few days of the week.

| I am a caring gentleman with vast experience in health care and as a care assistant. I worked at Kagisano old age home, back in Botswana providing care for the vulnerable old women and men, this entailed helping them take baths, taking medication, walk and reading to name a few. My greatest skills include caring, kindness, good communication skills, empathy and sensitivity, friendliness, a very good sense of humour and most of all I have passion for care. I worked at Home Instead as a Healthcare assistant, providing support to elderly people with dimentia, Alzheimer’s and people living with disabilities. I am worked in different communities such as Camphill communities and Saint John of God providing support for people living with mental and intellectual disabilities. I hold a clean and full driving licence.
