I've had a developing aspiration in tutoring that has grown since I was in school myself and involved in several mentoring programs including tutoring in basic skills such as confidence in reading. This has since continued and I have always jumped at the opportunity to pass on knowledge and interact in a teaching or learning role with people of all ages. I believe that one of the most important and ignored factors in learning is that it should always be stimulating and fun, I aim to achieve this as much as possible. I have just completed my final year in a Medical Engineering Bachelors degree and intend to continue to do a Masters before studying a PGCE to seek my passion fully.

Maths and Science tutoring from an experienced Engineering Master’s student
| Hi there, I’m Sophie and I am currently doing my Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds. I would make a great tutor for your child because: 1) I can approach maths and science concepts from many directions to adapt the lesson to suit the child. 2) I have previous experience in online maths tutoring of secondary school students, and have really enjoyed helping my younger sister with her homework while growing up. 3) I encourage questions and am patient. 4) I am organised and reliable demonstrated by my role as the main organiser of school outreach workshops for Airbus during my placement year. 5) It hasn’t been too long since I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels so my experience and the ways I prepared to get great marks are fresh in my mind. Give me a message if you think we would be a good fit and we can arrange a phone call to discuss further. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Degree-educated tutor offering personalized online & in-person Chemistry, Biology, and Math lessons.
| Trilingual MSc student with a BSc in Chemistry with experience tutoring students in IB, GCSE, and A-level programs primarily in Chemistry, Biology, and Maths. My end-of-degree BSc project focused on pedagogy and how to effectively communicate knowledge to students to allow them to retain as much information as possible. I focus on foundational aspects of teaching and prepare a personalized plan for each student depending on what they require. I build up their knowledge from the ground up and explain the rationale behind each concept to build the linkages between different units and foster a deeper understanding before carefully selecting specific exam-style questions that progress us forward. First, I brief the parents and hop on a demo call with them before doing the same with the students where we introduce ourselves to each other and I get to better understand their needs, and what is the root cause of their current difficulties before working through a concept together to get them accustomed to my teaching method while setting expectations for all parties.

Jolly, relatable tutor that teaches A-Level and GCSE Maths using a drawing tablet
| Hi! I’m Anas, and I’m a GCSE Maths and A-Level Maths tutor. A little bit about me, I have just finished college studying A Level Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Biology. I have my results day very soon, however I have been predicted A*A*A*A. I have achieved 8 9’s and 2 8’s in GCSE, >97% in Further Maths GCSE and >95% in Maths GCSE (Edexcel). I have taught GCSE English and Maths to students aged 5-16 face to face in a tuition centre for 2+ years with all students I have worked with, achieving a pass or above. I have taught A Level maths to a select few students, and have created maths social media content throughout exam season to help others. I also hold live streams going through A Level content so I am very confident in my ability to teach. How I teach is through online. I have a drawing touch screen tablet, which would be done through a screen share. I know a lot of people use the mouse to draw which is ugly, but I use a pen which just makes the whole process smoother for the student. I am able to prepare lessons effectively and will give reports to parents of how they’ve performed in a lesson, what they need to work on next and how we can do that.
