As a former lecturer in Further Education, I taught Drama and Communications skills to adults in college and in community settings. I graduated in Economics, then later in Drama, before teaching. Having worked in mainstream and in supported learning backgrounds, I have also tutored adults who are lacking in confidence in literacy and numeracy, making this relevant to their needs. Further, I have taught audition skills to mainstream Drama students.

Reliable, patient, and trustworthy, I offer tailored tutoring and babysitting services with a PGDE.
| Here's a revised version of your paragraph that is under 1350 characters: I have experience working with children in various educational and care settings. As a qualified primary teacher with a PGDE from the University of Strathclyde, I currently teach in Argyll and Bute, supporting learners, including those with additional support needs (ASN). I also have experience providing one-to-one and group tutoring for primary-aged pupils and young learners up to 14 years old, organised and run by local authorities through the schools I worked in, focusing on boosting their attainment and confidence. In addition to my teaching experience, I provide babysitting services in private homes, hotels, and events, including household tasks like feeding, tidying toys, and maintaining a safe, engaging environment. I bring diverse experience as a classically trained musician who enjoys the arts and promotes outdoor activities to support children's wellbeing. I also have experience providing cleaning services for a local holiday lodge company and hold a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate, ensuring a hygienic and safe environment when preparing or handling food. References are available upon request.

As a Primary Teacher, I really enjoyed delivering creative and engaging activities that linked to the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence. Now that I have left teaching I would love the opportunity to use all the resources I created and skills I developed in a private tutoring setting. I don't have any direct private tutoring experience but I am confident in my ability to build positive relationships with children and understanding how to best meet their learning needs in a way that interests them. I was able to deliver learning experiences to classes of over 23 children with a vast range of learning styles and stages of development. This assures me that I would be able to confidently deliver learning activities to children in a much more private and individualized way.

Friendly and fun! If you enjoy it, you're likely to remember it!
| My methodology: I take a very friendly and calm approach to teaching. I structure each lesson well in advance, but leave enough 'wiggle room' for times where the student is finding the work too easy or too hard. I find one of the most important things about teaching is basing everything around the students' needs, as opposed to following a rigid plan. This way, the student is less stressed, and henceforth happier and most likely to retain the learned information! My background: I achieved my Advanced Higher English in School with an A grade. My University degree is in English Language and Linguistics. I am currently studying my Masters degree in Speech and Language therapy. I have been tutoring TEFL and Standard Grade/Higher English both live and online since 2012, and have an excellent track record.

Hi there, I'm Calum, a fourth year vet student at the University of Glasgow
| As part of getting into vet school there are high academic requirements as it is a very intense course: rigourous in both workload and complexity. I performed well academically in school, in particular all three sciences and mathematics as well as history (all to a grade A at higher). I thoroughly enjoy both learning new topics as well as passing on complex ideas and guiding others through difficult subjects. However, I didn't just spend my time in school with books, also spending a lot of my time on the local river, training to compete in rowing up to a national championship winning level, whilst also being voted Club Captain by my peers. As part of the club I also spent my summers teaching many groups of children of varying ages and abilities the basics of the sport. Together these experiences have given me the qualities and skills needed to be well suited to tutoring, with the coaching giving me the patience and experience to teach children in a positive and engaging manner and the school and university experience giving me the necessary knowledge. I also have some personal experience with tutoring younger children, having a 10 year old sister who tries her best to not make it easy for me, but is still progressing wonderfully.
