| English was my favourite subject despite struggling with it during my early years. I was fortunate to have a teacher who took time to help me. Without this support I would have never ended up studying English at university level, loving it and excelling in it. As such, I know the importance of having someone passionate about the subject help you, listen to you and guide you. I have taught students from abroad English for 2 years. During my time teaching in a private school in China I gained a prestigious excellence award. I believe being experienced in EFL teaching adds a great deal of value to my ability to teach students in the UK. As an EFL teacher you learn alternative ways to teach and understand that just sitting and listening is not always the best way to learn. This understanding will allow me to work with your child to create a learning plan that will suit them. Since turning 18 have been a leader in the Scouting organisation. Scouting is a form of non-formal education and requires a lot of the attributes it takes to be an excellent teacher. As such I have extensive experience working with young people and am passionate about creating an interesting learning environment.
