| I am a Maths graduate from the University of Leeds currently employed by “EducateFirst”, who was voted as one of the top 3 private tutors in West Yorkshire in 2019. The main reason I joined this company was the feeling of joy I felt helping others understand concepts whilst in secondary school studying for my own GCSE's. Working for this company, and at Dixons City Academy (as a Teaching Assistant) has provided me with expertise in teaching GCSE & A-level Maths - it has meant I have a DBS certification for teaching. On top of this, I work for "STEMKids", where I tutor primary school students at after school functions. All of my students have either achieved or surpassed their target grade. Having personally achieved a "Grade 9" in the new GCSE Maths curriculum, and an "A*" in the new A-level Maths syllabus, I know what it takes to reach the top marks - I make sure to share the resources which helped exponentiate my knowledge in Maths with my students. | Hello, I’m an 18 year old A-Level student currently studying in Bradford. I’m in progress of completing A-Level Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and EPQ qualifications. Although I have no professional experience yet, I have developed skills in working with and assisting younger pupils in improving their reading ability throughout my ‘Reading Leaders’ qualification in 6th form. Having 4 younger siblings (one of which is a GCSE student I tutor sometimes in my own time) and many cousins means I am very good around kids. I am even the elected ‘teacher’ within my friend group and often lead group study sessions before exams due to my natural ability to explain complex concepts, particularly in chemistry. Having learned english almost fluently within two years and passing my SATs in primary school with only 2 years of education in the UK (with Arabic being my mother tongue), to then getting all grade 8s and 9s at GCSE’s (straight A*’s), and currently working at 3 grade A’s and a B at A-level, I believe I’m the perfect candidate to make learning easier and more enjoyable.
