Special Needs Care in St. Edmundsbury

| I am currently a Higher Level Teaching Assistant at an all special needs school in Ipswich, for key stage 1. I specialise in Makaton and am training to become a regional Makaton tutor. I work with children that have a variety of learning difficulties, disabilities including wheelchair assisting and rare disorders. I have worked in Special needs education for 3 years now and before that worked in other care roles for a further 3 years. I am looking for a family I can help during the holidays, I have my own method of transport and a clean drivers licence. I can offer educational and sensory activities, am willing to help with house chores where needed, and can be flexible with hours of work during the school holidays.

| I currently work in a hospital part time as a health care assistant and have done for the last 9 years, I've worked with all ages from newborn to 108! I also have 4 children of my own. One of which has additional needs so im very experienced with challenging behaviour. I also provide private care to clients, I have an up to date DBS check. And I am insured. I do drive, and am able/confident enough to drive disability vehicles. I have experience of using hoists and electric wheelchairs. I am NOT trained to administer medications. I am happy to provide care on an adhoc basis, days, nights whether they are sleep ins or awake. I also provide travel/holiday care where care is 24-7. My hourly rate is negotiable depending on travel, care involved and how many hours agreed on. If I am travelling over 30 minutes, I do not provide anything less than 3 hour blocks of care. I am happy to cover Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge. Will consider other areas for overnights or holiday care.

| I have been working within the Healthcare Industry for over 10+ years. I have worked with a range of elderly, learning disability and health service users. I have been a Team Leader/Assistant Manager in previous job roles.
