Fun and Compassionate American Care Worker
|
I am an American living in England for university currently. I have been caring for people (elderly, special needs adults and children) since I was a young child. I cared for my grandfather, Deacon Doctor Diego E.A. Perez. When I wasn't caring for Deacon Perez, I would either be babysitting special needs children (mostly children with ADHD or Autism ranging all over the spectrum) or volunteering with a group of special needs adults (Any type of disability I helped with at this group) that I met through a volunteering program at my high school. I have patience with the elderly and people with special needs. I have compassion for the disabled, which transcends the awkwardness that can come with helping in the bathroom or general hygiene. Ever since I was a child, I have been caring for people who needed specialized help, like my cousin, who was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta and lived with me. I also competed in competitive storytelling and chorus, which makes putting kids to bed a fun task. I also used to help run a daycare at my middle school (12-14) for toddlers (some of whom were special needs) where we would do fun arts and crafts.
