| I have previously worked with an elderly lady with dementia from her own home I have been her companion every Friday for a while I have peppered basic foods for her including sandwiches, beans on toast, pasta and many more of her favourite meals This lady specifically loved her grandchildren and I was always there to speak to her and ask and answer many of her questions Due to the lady having dementia I ha to have patience with her, as she would often ask me the same question several times each time I accompanied her I used to help her with basic hygiene scenarios such as using the toilet, washing hands, cleaning her face She loved having her fingernails painted so that was always a hobby we did together and every week she would ask me if I liked her nails (that she didn’t remember that I did for her) I have also worked babysitting for 2 young girls several times These girls were 7 years old and 1 year old We also did many activities and I always bought them their favourite sweets and chocolate (with parent permission of course)
