| I worked for 13 years in an old people’s home in York in the 90s into the early 20s my elderly farther has just died of cancer and i felt very privileged to take care of him

| I have over 14 years experience within the healthcare sector and have worked with a range of clients with various needs and requirements. I have experience with spinal injuries, brain tumours, dementia, MS, autism in both adults and children, chronic lung disease and Parkinson’s to name but a few. I have also completed a number of courses, including catheter care, stoma care and palliative care as well as holding an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care and a level 3 diploma for the Children’s and Young People’s Workforce. I have experience working as an individual, as part of a team and as a supervisor within a care home. I am currently open to new opportunities. My ideal role would be in waking nights within a reasonable commute of Thirsk. I provided specialist care to a young gentleman who is epileptic with numerous seizures per day, blind, non-verbal, PEG fed and suction machine, nebuliser and cough assist dependent. I measure and administer various medications ensuring that all requirements are met within the time parameters.
