Before I became a carer I helped a neighbour with day to day things after his wife had died and was by his side until the day he died too, being with him for so many years pushed me to get into care, he always told me I’d make a brilliant carer so I followed his wishes and hear I am today :) I like to build a bond with each individual I work with, I’m not just a carer but I’m their friend, someone they can trust and rely on, have a laugh with, a shoulder to cry on - I will always be there.
