Hello, my name is kirby and I have 4 years experience working in the care industry. Two of those were in childcare and the two most recently have been in elderly care/housekeeping which I love. I’ve always been a maternal person since being little, I remember my family would call me a mother hen. I have a little one of my own now and he’s almost 2 years old. Caring comes very natural to me. My current role is caring for an elderly gentleman who suffers with dementia in his own home. Here I have worked as a carer/housekeeper and built a great bond with the family and the lovely gentleman. Sadly this is coming to an end as his needs have gone past needing home care. I assisted with personal care, preparing meals, daily cleaning of the home, laundry, days out, administering/prompting medication, emotional support and just simply having a cup of tea and a chat. Before this role I worked as a domiciliary carer, here I would visit multiple homes in a day and do very similar duties to my most recent position. I would love to help, wether it’s so you can live more comfortably at home with some assistance, needing an extra pair of hands to do the chores and house work or just wanting some company, I’d love to hear from you :-)
