Experienced Physiotherapy Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant
|
My work history over the last 14 years has mainly been work in the NHS as a Physiotherapy Support Worker. The majority of this has been worked in community hospitals, on elder care wards. These patients have been treated with a diverse diagnosis, but the majority have been strokes and orthopaedics. There was also a day hospital for outpatients to attend. I have also assisted with Parkinson's Disease, COPD, Falls and Cardiac exercise groups. Working in a hospital environment enables you to work as part of a multi disciplinary team. Working closely with therapy colleagues, along with Doctors and nursing staff, to give patients the best possible outcome to their clinical diagnosis. I also have vast experience with working in the community. This includes working with outside agencies to assist in a smooth transition from discharge to home. I have years of experience as a community care assistant. I find working in healthcare very rewarding and I am always willing to learn from my peers, new skills to increase my knowledge.
