Nannies in Wallsend

| I am currently working as a nursery nurse in a private nursery but have also worked in wrap-around care as a worker and manager. I have a Level 3 in Playwork and experience working with children aged 4 months to 11 years old. As part of my work I set up a wide range of activities for the children as well as having good knowledge of the EYFS, allowing me to tailor activities to help children build their skills. I really enjoy working with children and have build positive relationships with my team, the children in my care, and families using our services. I am looking to move into Nanny work to be able to spend more time working closely with children rather than completing paperwork.

| During my long-term nanny role, I provided daily care for 2 children. I started this post when the oldest child was one with sole care, for three years, this led into providing assistance during mum's maternity leave. On Mum returning to work I became sole carer for both children. Until the eldest was 13 years old. My main role was getting them up and ready for the day, preparing breakfast, playtime and attending groups and social events to engage with other children in assisting with growth and development, leading to preparing them for school. Assisting with the older child engaging with her younger sibling through involving her with basic tasks in her care. Preparing a main nutritional meal and bath/bed time routines.

| I am currently working in High Heaton as a full-time nanny. General duties included: Bottle feeds (including sterilising bottles) , nappy changing, preparing meals, bathing the children and putting them to bed, school/nursery pick ups, taking children on outings, creating stimulating activities, household chores including cleaning and ironing, occasional evening babysitting. I am qualified in EYFS at level 3 and hold a host of certifications for child related courses including: Child speech, Child behaviour, Makaton, Safeguarding etc. The passion for looking after children comes from within, I believe so anyway. I think there are certain people made for looking after children and I am one of those people. I have been around children my whole life. I am the eldest girl grandchild in my family out of 23 grandchildren, and have babysat everyone of the others, on a regular basis.
