I am a qualified nursery practitioner with an A in Childhood Practice (HNC). I am currently in the second year of my Primary Education master’s degree. I have volunteered and successfully taken part in multiple placements ranging from two-year-old's to twelve-year-old's around different areas in Glasgow over the past three years of living in the city. Originally, I come from the Isle of South Uist in the Western Isles of Scotland and I am fluent in Gaidhlig language. I have worked from the age of fourteen in multiple different areas including catering, retail, and housekeeping. I was also a tutor during summer in a week-long Gaidhlig Summer School called Feis Tir a'Mhurain. I have an intense love for all animals and back home have a dog, cat, two ducks and four horses of my own which has encouraged me and allowed me to be caring throughout my whole life. At the age of sixteen, I sadly lost my mother due to illness. As a result, I was left caring for my father who has a disability after sustaining an industrial injury. This shaped me into the person that I am today and made me extremely empathetic. This experience always gave me an optimistic outlook on life and made me appreciate everything that I have now.
