I have cared for a number of different children, ranging between few months old to 7years old and have learnt that patience and understanding is key to achieving good routines of food, cleanliness and playtime. However, I feel the most important factor is , as with most careers in general, is to actually enjoy looking after children! I find it especially satisfying when I have cared for children on a long term basis as it’s extremely fulfilling watching a child develop and mature.
