A fun, well-rounded primary teacher, with a range of experience with SEND and additional needs

My name is Holly and I am 21 years old. I am in my final year of studying Primary Education with SEND Inclusion. I have built up a wide range of experience within the local community. I have three younger brothers, two of which have additional and special needs. I have had the day in, day out experiences and have witnessed the challenges they face every day. I have learnt how to support them overcome these challenges. I understand the potential strains it can have on a family and how this can impact everyone in the household.
I went to college to study Children's Play, Learning and Development where over the two years I gained over 750 hours of experience with 0-8 year olds in a wide range of educational settings. I also volunteered at my local school, working in a class on my spare day for the academic year, gaining an additional 300 hours experience.
In Summer 2021, I gained a wonderful leader position at a Holiday Club run by the YMCA for 5 weeks. The club was funded by the new Marcus Rashford Initiative, where we provided a hot meal, sports, arts and crafts and a range of other activities. I then went onto work for School's Out Activities for the last two summers. I have also worked with the UoC Nursery.
