| I am a second-year primary education student who is looking to earn some extra income. I am very outgoing and fun to be around and can help with any homework or housework that may be required! I have experience with babysitting before and hope to continue!

| Hi there, my name is Summer and I'm studying at the University of Aberdeen. I have experience babysitting in my neighbourhood with a variety of different aged children. I love doing different activities with the children such as trampolining, helping with homework or reading to them. I have also worked as a children’s tennis coach since I was 15 years old. Through this I had to plan fun , engaging activities, explain the exercises clearly and ensure a safe environment for the kids to play in. I have worked with children of many different ages and abilities, providing me with great versatility and experience. I also worked at a summer camp in Canada this summer, where I was responsible for a group of children. Some of my roles included getting the children ready for bed, accompanying them at meals, ensuring they were participating in activities and looking out for any issues that may have arisen such as bullying. In addition I have experience tutoring children in both French and Spanish. Whilst doing this I always planned my lessons plenty in advance and used a range of resources to teach. I occasionally taught a new topic but also listen to what the child felt they needed to focus on a well.

| I am a very friendly, bubbly person. Since I was eight I have grown up with having baby cousins in my family, as well as volunteering for a drama class for 4-8 year olds. Furthermore, last year I worked in France as an English language assistant in a French school, with 10-16 year olds. I have a lot of experience with children of varying ages and have done babysitting several times. I love children and I can play with them if they want but I can also be strict if I need to be if they are not behaving. I can also do French tutoring because I am in my final year of university where I am studying French studies, and I can try to help with general homework. I am not yet sure which days I am free other than weekends as I am not yet able to pick my university classes so I do not have my timetable

| I worked as an Aupair in Spain and Austria during summer 2018 for a couple of months. I looked after two enthusiastic Austrian boys, whom I took swimming, hiking, and other activities. I also cooked for them and picked them up from school. In Spain, I looked after a kid of 6 and a girl of 13. We played board games, Marco Polo in the swimming pool and I organized some treasure hunts for them. We cooked lasagna and pizza together too! Furthermore, I worked as a babysitter on a regular basis for almost two years taking care of a young boy of 3 in Aberdeen. I also babysitted occasionally two young teenagers in Vienna and two kids in Aberdeen. I have three younger siblings aged 15, 6, and 4 so I have achieved great experience with kids of any age. I have been taking care of children since I was very little by helping them with homework, entertaining them, and providing them with anything they needed.

| Throughout my childhood I have travelled and had the opportunity to live in Houston, Texas, where I often spent my weekends babysitting and helping families with school drop off, pick ups, and after school care. This also lead to overnight stays and care throughout the week. In my spare time I have volunteered in orphanages in Costa Rica as well as Florida. I further volunteered at a homeless shelter in Houston. I enjoyed coaching a netball team of children from ages 7-11 and encouraged them to push themselves to do their very best. I am a kind, caring and social person who goes the extra mile to help and ensure that the best possible care is given to the children. I am motivated by watching children grow and succeed. I am currently studying a HNC in Childhood Practice with hope to further my studies in Primary School Teaching. I hold a level 2 food preparation certificate and have done standard first aid training. | Hello! I'm a -95 born young woman originally from Finland, but I live in Dundee. I'm a third year University student in Abertay Uni, I study psychology. I worked here as a babysitter for a 4 months old baby boy and a 3 years old girl. I have 4 younger siblings that I have been taking care of numerous times, and I occasionally looked after our neighbours' children as well. My mom is a private child minder, so I filled in for her or otherwise helped her with the children almost every day after my school. I also did couple days in a day care center for a school project. Here in Dundee I did one-to-one mentoring for pre-teens and teenagers as a volunteer, and at the moment am doing befriending at HAVEN. I love children and get along with them very well, with a caring, fun, energetic and firm approach. | There is one thing for sure that I have known from a young age is that I would like to work with children. I have recently left my career in teaching to expand my skills working with children of all ages. I have varied past experiences in working with children from babysitting a family with 3 children (age range 2-10 years old). I have also worked with children in nursery 3-5 years old. In my spare time, I have also volunteered for a Girls' Brigade since the age of 15 and I became a trained officer at aged 18. | I am a primary education student at the University of Aberdeen and therefore I have experience working with primary aged pupils through school placements. Because of this, I also have my PVG. As part of this course I was required to carry out a small amount of nursery experience so I have also worked with younger children. Babysitting children of a similar age will be a highly beneficial experience for me as I am interested in experiencing as much about child development as I can to develop and enhance my understanding of the theory that I learn in my course. I am a very sensible and reliable and in living away from home I have developed the skills required to successfully take care of myself and others. Hello, I am Skaiste from Lithuania, a girl with a lot of experience in childcare. I have 4 brothers and 4 sisters (7 of them were adopted at a small age, so I helped my mum a lot taking care of them). From school age (15) I have been taking care of babies and kids. | Hello, I am 20 years old, originally from Germany and in my first year studying at RGU. I have plenty of experience working with children between the ages of 5 and 15 and would be happy to work with children from 15 months onwards. From 2011 to 2016 I did regular volunteering with children in my church. This consisted of events for many different age groups. We did a monthly service for children, mornings full of indoor and outdoor games to keep the children busy during holidays and religious weekends for teenagers to name a few. In 2014 I took part in a youth camp, where two other group leaders and I were solely responsible for 11 children (aged 7 and 8) for ten days. During those five years I learnt a lot about child development, adapting to children with different personalities (introverted, extroverted etc.) and quickly getting to know new children and involving them in the group. From summer 2016 to summer 2017 I was an Au Pair in England for a family with two girls (aged 6 and 7). My role here consisted of cooking, helping with homework, playing with them, regular babysitting in the evenings and most other things a parent does. I learnt a lot about patience, responsibility, problem-solving and supporting children in their development. Counting all the hours together I have around 2000 hours of childcare experience. I am available for regular and occasional babysitting on most days of the week. For regular babysitting I would prefer up to three times a week, as I still need enough time to concentrate on my studies. I am also available for afternoon care on Wednesdays, and the weekend. | I’m currently at University so my schedule is fairly flexible. I’m someone who’s very interested in babysitting as I adore children and it’s a job well suited to me. I’ve spent the past two years often looking after my sister and cousins, also volunteering at a local primary school where I’d plan activities for kids mostly aged 5-9 and helped improve their skills like reading, listening & number work. It’s often said by class teachers or parents that I serve as an effective role model to the kids I'm around as they look up to me and I’m someone they can learn from/ trust. I think it’s extremely important that a child has a babysitter to care for them who can make them completely comfortable, providing a safe impression which i find is something that i can do very effectively. In terms of older children/teens, through volunteer work with my local ymca, I spent lots of time with young teens at drop ins where I’d create activities for them and was someone for them to chat to. Through this I gained more of an understanding of behaviours in children and teens, allowing me to provide better care. I’m patient and understanding with children and I just have the natural caring instinct. All of which I find vital in a good babysitter.
