After School Care Ely

| I am 18 years old and live at home with my mum, dad, sister and my dog Monty. I am currently doing my A levels in Cambridge which I am really enjoying but will be finished in July. I am studying business, photography and graphics, I am a really creative person that has many hobbies and interests. After my A levels, I am taking a gap year, I have always enjoyed being around children so this year I would love to become a nanny to grow my passion for childcare. I have had some experience in child care; I have volunteered at childrens after school youth club and babysat children in the past. This year I would like to kick start my career in child care by becoming a nanny as it is something I have always wanted to do.

| I am currently studying a Masters in nursing and have a flexible working hours. I am able to relate and communicate easily with all ages and am passionate about improving the lives of people living with challenging health conditions. From 2018 to 2020 I was employed as a care worker and playworker in two different roles. One role was providing care to a child in her home with cerebral palsy and severe learning disability, the other was within an after-school scheme for groups of children with disabilities. These roles involved providing physical care including assisting feeding, washing, dressing, toileting and mobility as well as emotional and psychological care. During my undergraduate university programme I spent six weeks working as a course administrator and houseparent at a residential sports and language camp for children aged 11-18. I realised how important it is to be continually friendly, resourceful and patient. This role required efficient personal organisation, good time management and teamwork. I was able to maintain my commitment and motivation through long shifts, six days a week. This required a high level of energy and enthusiasm.

| I am incredibly lucky to have had a child orientated Upbringing from my Nan owning a nursery, to my mother working with special needs children from a young age, I Learned a great deal in how to be patient with children and view things from a different perspective, I am a student fashion designer in cambridge looking to work through Summer. I have volunteered in multiple nurseries throughout my schooling, from after school Art clubs to volunteering in the nursery I love to create engaging activities for the children inside and outdoors.

| Hi. I work at a nursery based in Ely which is part of a primary school. I have worked there for 2 and a half years caring for 3-year olds and do after school club for those 3-7 year olds. Before working there I did part time babysitting. I am very good with children and have a lot of experience, I am trained in changing nappies, I have had a dbs check and also am fully first aid trained. I am off work for the school holidays as my nursery runs on term time so I am wanting to work during the school holidays, I am happy to work days or nights. I like to have fun with the children and make them feel comfortable.

I have spent the last year working in a Montessori nursery with children aged from six months to four years, and I also have experience as a secondary school classroom assistant. I am currently studying postgraduate teacher training, so am able to work flexibly after-school, in the evenings, and at weekends - whatever works best for you. I love storytelling & imaginative play with younger children and teaching crafts to children under 16. I have had two children of my own (now grown up!) and fostered two children. I am first aid trained, have Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate.

| My name is Rebekah and I am 27 years old. I am a very down-to-earth person with a lot of love for children. I have a huge interest in music and I enjoy going to concerts as well as spending time with my friends. I also have a huge love for Disney and movies! I have worked as a live-in Au Pair in London for two boys aged 7 and 9 for 3 years. I have also worked in Shelford, Cambridge as a Childminder. I previously worked as both full-time and relief staff at Colourbox Montessori School. I have also worked as a Nanny for young boy under the age of 2. I have had many babysitting jobs and still babysit regularly for different families. I have also had work experience at 2 primary schools and 2 pre-schools. I am now currently employed in retail so my availability is dependent on when I am not working. I should hopefully get my rotas at least 2 weeks in advance. My rotas vary but if I am ever working the afternoon shift, the latest I will finish is 6:15 on a Mon-Sat and 4:15 on a Sunday. I also currently don't drive so please keep this in mind. I am happy to travel if I can easily rely on local transport.
