My daughter is currently on a section 3 in hospital with mental health struggles. She is due to be discharged soon and we are needing to implement support to help her integrate back into a good home routine.
I work full time so would love someone to be around during the day to be with her.
She is able to wash and dress herself, but will need prompting with meal times.
She needs a mentor, someone to motivate her and help get her to certain activities. She will have lots of appointments in the first few weeks of discharge so will need help to get to these.
My daughter loves animals, stitch, crafts, reading and getting out of the house on walks/biking
We are hoping to be able to meet our new home help before we start, to help her build a rapport. As this is an area she struggles with. It will have to be virtual to begin as she is currently in hospital

Our 9 year old son has special needs (learning difficulties and speech problems) and is part time home educated. He may need help with meal prep, meal times, tidying, playing and going outside with him in the garden, etc. No special needs experience needed but a kind, flexible and reliable personality is. Get in touch!

ADVERT FOR PART-TIME PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT IN BRAMLEY GREEN, ANGMERING
We are looking for additional help/care for our son who has Cerebral Palsy. This may also involve helping with our daughter.
Our son is 10 years old and is diagnosed with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. He has a 5 year old sister and a large, friendly dog. He uses a wheelchair and requires assistance with all activities of daily living, including personal care, play and mobility. He is a bright and happy boy, with a great sense of humour, who requires support to access and interact with his environment. He loves music, photos, learning new things and chatting. He is a real delight to be with and is rewarding to work with.
This position will involve working independently and alongside us or other carers, as Samuel now requires 2 people for lifting/hoisting. It will involve helping with feeding, personal care (toileting/changing pads/showering/medication); entertaining and going out with Samuel; caring for our daughter when needed.
Experience is preferable, but NOT ESSENTIAL, as full training will be given and being the right person for the job is most important. The ability to engage with children, show initiative, show attention to detail and generate your own ideas for activities is essential. Car driver is preferable, but not essential.
We're currently looking for someone, or a small team of people, to cover the following hours:
- 3 early mornings, possibly Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 6.30-8.30am, to help our son with toileting, dressing, breakfast and transferring into his wheelchair.
- 3 early evenings per week, Tuesday, 5.15-7.15pm, Wednesday, 5.30-8pm, and Friday, 4.15-8pm.
Hourly Rate £10/hour.
There will also be additional hours available, especially during the school holidays.
Some of the above hours are negotiable, so please discuss any preferences with us.
Please contact me.
Thanks a lot.
