Hi My daughter is 15 and is visually impaired with underlying seizures but has functional vision and is independent with mobility in her known environment . Her seizures are medically managed bur can have short seizures. She is a very confident and intelligent child . She attends a special needs school and has done well. We are looking for someone who can spend some fun time with my daughter at home during half terms and can be her friend. I will work from home on those days , so it will just be company for my daughter. I am looking for 3 hrs for 3 days in May half term and would like to extend it over 2 weeks for the summer break. We’re looking for a bank Support Worker who can work in the client’s home in Chichester to provide care, assist with physical needs, therapy, learning and play. The client is a delightful primary school boy with an underlying medical care need and cerebral palsy resulting in physical and communication difficulties. He loves to play and have fun. We are looking for cover over the Christmas and New Year school holiday period. The post offers a flexible working opportunity across the week – at present we are looking for support for a variety of hours and shifts, temporary and permanent. Please enquire for further details. We'd like to employ someone with a positive and friendly personality, who has experience or knowledge relevant to working with disabled children. Specific training relating to the client will be provided. The salary is £13 an hour Monday-Friday daytime rate, and £15 an hour Saturday & Sunday daytime rate. The successful applicant will need to be able to provide a suitable enhanced DBS check or be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check (fully funded) before the job offer is confirmed.
