Our son is looking for a PA to help him explore the world and develop his independence. He is after someone caring, who is keen to work with young people and help them develop to their full potential. You will need to be DBS checked (we are happy to help organise that). As well as providing personal care, the role would include helping him develop independent cooking skills and other household tasks. Over time, the hours might expand to support him going out bowling or to the cinema, playing board games, etc. He is a lively 14 year old who likes Minecraft, train simulators, playing with the family dogs and board games. He is also a wheelchair user and someone who communicates through a mix of signs and a computer. If you know a bit of Makaton already that would be wonderful. We would also be open to longer hours for someone willing to take on other household chores (cleaning, ironing, etc), but that isn’t a requirement.
