My lovely mum Pam is 82 and has Parkinson's Dementia. I am her son and her principal carer and I'm looking for someone to help me give her the care she deserves. I have been taking care of her for a year now with pop in visits. Pam is unable to move herself and needs hoisting and a wheelchair. She is lucid and benign and responds well to kindness and attention. Rather than pop in visits to change pads, I'm hoping to find someone who might be prepared to come in Monday to Friday for three hours in the morning, 9am to 12 noon and perhaps a brief visit in the evening around 6pm, though this visit - along with weekends - might be covered by agency carers. The arrangement is up for negotiation, but my ambition is to give Pam the best whilst allowing myself time to work in the mornings. We live in a comfortable bungalow in Windlesham. Making breakfast or lunch an occasion for interaction and pleasure, good cooking, good conversation and a positive attitude are welcome qualities. A relaxed but dilligent person would suit us well. If you don't mind throwing in a load of washing or whatever needs to be done, that would be great.
