My 87 year old auntie lives on the edge of the park in Woodcombe. She suffers from dementia and has a live-in carer. The carer needs a 2 hour break each day. Your job would be to encourage my auntie to go for a walk and occasionally do some light household tasks with her while the carer has her break.

Live in care in Minehead, Somerset My 87 year old auntie has dementia and a lot of back pain she is generally reasonably cheerful though she can get anxious especially in the evenings. She is still active, so I would like a carer who enjoys walking and being outdoors. She loves books (sadly her eyesight is no longer good enough to read) and music and is generally a fun (though very forgetful) companion. She does need a lot of reassurance and repeatedly asks the same questions. I am looking for a carer who’ll make her feel safe, encourage her to go for walks in the park, involve her with cooking and eating healthy meals, play her music and audiobooks, as well as provide her with companionship and manage her medicine. We already have one lovely carer, our ideal working pattern is 4 weeks on 4 weeks off though we are flexible.
