95 yr old lady who is very alert, but suffers from anxiety and depression. We have carers who come in 8.00 am to 12.00 midday essentially preparing and serving breakfast and preparing lunch, but offering some companionship and some general housework. We now have a vacancy on Wednesday and Friday morning working similar hours The person needs to be a clear English speaker as Mum is partially deaf but enjoys a good conversation with a personable companion. Some assistance might be needed for Mum showering and dressing essentially to ensure safety. Other personal care issues like hair washing and creaming of dry skin may be required. In good weather Mum might like to be taken out for a short trip and so the person would need a car and be prepared to take her out. Other than this it is expected that fetching and carrying ( and finding) items that Mum requires will be part of the routine. It would be a great advantage that the successful applicant could cover over the week for Bank Holidays and other time away taken by the existing carers. Obviously as there is only an immediate guarantee of 8 hours the person would need to live local to Beaconsfield as otherwise journey time would be difficult. Wage would depend on age and experience but not less than £15/hour is anticipated. Cover could be agreed at a premium rate. Mileage can also be anticipated at a realistic rate for travel time and any excursions with Mum.

We are a married couple living in Beaconsfield and need help with elderly care. We are looking for a sensible, reliable and experienced carer to help us out. One of us has a COPD condition and requires oxygen 24/7 but is both independent and sociable. Duties include services such as some housekeeping (e.g making beds, helping with washing of/hanging up clothes, stacking dishwasher etc), some personal care for the lady (e.g washing hair, dressing) and potentially some mobility support (e.g. wheelchair/scooter help).
