We are looking for a companion with elderly care experience and references to provide companionship to our mother who is in a care home and finding it lonely. It would be great if you live near Harrow HA3. You will be responsible for companionship for a few hours each week (up to two hours, 3 or 4 times a week). Our mother is a retired pharmacist, aged 90. She had a stroke 6 years ago which has left her with limited mobility. She is also unable to move or use her left arm and hand. An understanding of or experience of supporting stroke patients would be beneficial. She is also suffering from vascular dementia but enjoys conversation, word puzzles and simple activities. Excellent English is essential.
