I am seeking a dedicated, female personal home care assistant for my mother, to support her through the palliative stages of cancer, with an immediate start. My mother is 67 years old and a very fun-loving lady who wants to make the most of whatever time she has remaining. She is relatively frail from her illness however remains mobile without requiring any aid. She lives with her husband. I am searching for a carer that will take exceptional care of her predominantly with personal care, and assistance with light housework or errands. I would like someone experienced, patient, kind & reliable to help my family through this challenging time. There is flexibility in the working schedule to be discussed with the successful candidate, but as a guide I am looking for someone: - to attend 3-5 times a week (2-3 hours per visit) during the week - We are happy to commit to an initial minimum of 10 hours per week We envisage the tasks to be assisted with to include; - Personal Care - showering, changing - Medication – assistance with preparing her medication - Light household chores - Running errands – assisting with tasks such as picking up prescriptions Key Experience/ Requirements - A female carer, with a minimum of 2 years experience in providing home personal care - Previous experience working with palliative clients is essential - Fully COVID vaccinated (including booster) Location We are situated in Bagshot, Surrey in a safe neighbourhood.
