After-school nanny 3 days/week, Tulse Hill/Brixton Hill area
by Alexa • Lambeth
Hi & thanks for looking at this job post :)
We are a family of 4 with 2 kids ( 7yr old boy and 5yr old girl).
I am a Doctor and my husband is in marketing.
We are looking for someone who is caring & enjoys being with children, who can help with the after school period on 3 days per week (Mon, Wed & Thurs) including school pick-up. Help with school morning drop-off on Wed & Thurs would also be ideal.
Our ideal hours (but negotiable) would be:
Mon: 15:20 - 18:30
Wed: 8:30-9:30, 15:20 - 18:45
Thurs: 8:30-9:30, 15:20 - 18:30
In addition, occasional later finishes (19:30ish) by prior agreement would be great but is not a requirement.
The role would include school pick-up then taking to activities, generally hanging out, homework help, dinner, tidying up after the kids etc. They have a tennis class on Mondays in Brockwell Park and there is football club on Wednesdays for our Son. There may also be the occasional play date to navigate if you’re comfortable to do this!
I am clearly biased (!) but I think our kids are great fun. They are very active, chatty & imaginative. Of course they have their moments like any young kids, and benefit from gentle guiding in the right direction at times. They’re able to build lovely bonds with adults and can definitely form a lovely attachment with the right nanny :)
We live 1 minute from Brockwell Park in the Tulse Hill area. The school is Streatham Wells Primary, which is a 15 minute walk or a short drive from our house. The School is a 5-10 min walk from Tulse Hill Station. Our house is served by regular bus routes to Brixton & Tulse Hill, and Herne Hill Station is a walk across the park. We have free on-street parking as does the school. Because of the ferrying around, having a car would be useful but is by no means essential.
Finally, there may be a new dog on the cards in the coming months so ideally our nanny would be comfortable around pets.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions!
Thank you,
Alexa
