Najma has been caring for our almost theee year old on an ad hoc basis for a month now and we, as a family, love her. Najma has a quiet confidence and it is just a relief to find child care at at such a professional level. Our daughter, who doesn't have much experience being left with people she doesn't know well, tells us how excited she is for Najma to come visit and when my husband and I come home she is full of stories of what they have done together. This is not regular sit-in-front-of-the-tv babysitting, Najma does crafts and educational play. We hope Najma is part of our family for many years to come."

Jashan tutored my 12 year old daughter in math over the last few months. They met virtually over zoom. Jashan provided instruction and help on existing school work, and also provided extra work sheets to help retain the lessons. My daughter absolutely loved her, learnt a lot, and was able to catch up on what she had fallen behind on in school. I wholeheartedly recommend Jashan as a tutor."

Elementary to Middle School material, all subjects.
| Having recently moved to Montreal, I am in search of a part-time or full-time babysitting job. Within the last month, I was previously employed as an in-home nanny for a family of 4, the eldest boy with Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy. After 4 months, my time with them ended upon relocating to Montreal, and I miss my job a lot more than I expected. I have 4 younger siblings, from the ages 3 to 12, and have a plethora of experience in the world of child care. That includes caregiving, homeschooling, potty training, illustrating children's stories and tackling tantrums of all shapes and sizes. I am looking forward to starting my first year of Concordia in the Fall, as a part of the Fine Arts program. I absolutely love drawing and painting, making music, jogging, cooking, and helping others.

Helping students connect their interests to subject matter they may encounter as challenging.
| I am a published author, an editor, and a tutor. I instruct students at the downtown office of the Inspiration Learning Centre and also provide editing services to clinical child psychologists. Finding the best way to actualize potential: this is my mandate as a tutor. Anyone can learn anything by connecting that which is known to that which is unknown. This is how everyone learns. Teaching is identifying the process which best allows this connection to happen. This process is expedited by aiding a student’s understanding and utilization of metaphor. Beyond offering lectures, exercises, testing, and analysis, teachers must help students find metaphoric connections between things they know and things they want to know. Using the analytics of cutting-edge, online pedagogical systems, I can help almost any student find their way to approach any subject. I currently offer private tutoring services in: - Grades 1-8: English, math, sciences, humanities, philosophy, music, and French - Grades 9-12: English, philosophy, humanities, and music - Post-secondary: English and philosophy - SSAT tutoring and private school application assistance
