| I am a very bubbly, social, and outgoing person. I have recently graduated from Wilfrid LAURIER university in Waterloo, ON. I have moved to Calgary recently. I enjoy working with children, helping families and getting to know the community more. I recently worked at a behaviour centre for behavioural, mental and emotional challenges, autism and other related behaviours. I was trained as a behaviour therapist. | Hello my name is Kearsten, I have several years of experience working with special needs children and young adults I have experience teaching life skills such as washing dishes folding clothes brushing teeth etc, As well as creating engaging activities, I have experience working with nonverbal children and know basic ASL I’m a fast learner who is CPR and emergency first aid certified. I am able to quickly deescalate situations and have experience working with more aggressive children ( and adults ) Have experience working with children and adults with asthma, diabetes, and celiac

| I am warm-hearted, energetic, patient and enjoy spending my time fishing, gardening and playing board games with my family. I have also been called the "Fun Mom" as I love to take my kids to events, swimming, crafting, Canada's wonderland or just being silly with the karaoke machine! I am the go to for picking up and dropping off my kids friends for play dates or other events. I do have a child that has Autism Spectrum Disorder High Functioning and have such a strong passion for Autism! So much so that I have a Diploma in Developmental Support Worker and currently been working at the York Region District School Board for the past 5 yrs. My role is to give the best quality of life to all students and adults with developmental disabilities whether that be academics, social skills or basic living. I am also comfortable with personal hygiene and preparing meals.
