| I’m an experienced healthcare professional with 10+ years experience in diagnostic imaging. In recent years I’ve changed careers to focus on caring for seniors in their homes. In the past few months I’ve been employed as a caregiver to an Alzheimer’s patient, providing care such as bathing, meal preparation and companionship.

| A licensed Certified Nursing Assistant with CPR & HCA Certification with 6 years caregiving experience. I have a college degree, non smoker, drive my own car & am comfortable with pets.

| I have worked at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for a little bit helping transport patients out of the E.R into other care units as desired by nurse staff. With this position I was responsible for all patients children to seniors in assisting them with their needs. I am very responsible individual with extraordinary care knowledge for that I have taken care of my grandmother, uncles and aunties when they’ve undergone surgeries/ injuries and aren’t able to get around as easily. I also am very understanding when it comes to dementia or Alzheimer’s for I have had experience helping out with my family when times get tough for everyone. | I am a certified personal support worker and end of life doula. I have worked in a hospital setting for many years and have experience working with clientele as well as families.

| I am also experienced with being a companion to a senior person that I helped care for and looked after her dogs. I was not there up until she departed but fairly close as those moments are best left for family. I was welcomed into the home as a health carer, cleaner and cook, not a practitioner. I would walk the dogs and then I would prepare food for them. In this time I was also a landscaper assistant to the owner in maintaining the lawn care throughout the summer as well as raking leaves, reorganizing storage areas, maintaining the inside of the house in the winter. I have experience minding and teaching my son who had been a joy to learn from and work with over the years as much as he tried my patients but he was 5-7. Previous to my vocational training in Medical Office Administration I have experience in customer service and kitchen work mostly as being the person that doesn’t mind taking their time with someone if they need an extra hand. Currently I drive my mother around whenever she feels the need to shop. Though this is only listed in Senior care I have a vast experience of different areas from assisting with raising children to training my dog, and caring for other animals with instructions.

My recent experience involves caring for my parents in my home until they passed. My background includes palliative care, managing cognitive disabilities such as Alzheimer's, and I have experience with some medical equipment. I have worked as a medic in the oil field, taught first aid, and food safety programs. In my younger days I worked with individuals with cognitive challenges and coached Special Olympics. What I offer: Personal care, housekeeping, organizing (such as tackling that neglected closet), transportation, talking about difficult subjects, crafts, hobbies. I can cook, play games, singing songs, and anything else that is moral, legal, and safe to enhance your well-being. I can also assist with physiotherapy routines prescribed by your medical team or help navigate the homecare system. If you're interested in meditation, yoga, or walks, I'm here to support you. | I had my parents living with me for about 10 years. During that time, my Dad had a few health issues. He had dementia, and although was a challenge, I do not regret the time that I got to spend with him. I am single, and would love to spend time with others, taking them shopping, to appointments, and just visiting.

While I have no official experience in this industry, I feel I have the aptitude and personality that it takes to excel. I have a very caring personality and often look after my friends and their children when they are ill, earning the nickname “mother”. I have an extremely gentle touch and a keen listening ear. I have looked after my own step brother growing up who was severely mentally challenged. This included entertaining, teaching, cooking, cleaning, bathing, and adult diaper changing. While it has been many years I find I miss being able to provide care for those who are in need.

We are different because we offer a broader variety of services than other agencies. A simple list of provided services is to imply that these are finite, and mutually exclusive, whereas this is seldom the case in health care. We consider our services a very broad form of respite and community aid (in itself, a form of respite for society). Specialized attention includes care for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, neurological disorders and other needs, persons of all ages with developmental disorders, nursing care for a variety of needs such as seniors care and dementia care, assistance and support through the various stages of pregnancy and childbirth, for accident victims, and other extensions in support of the community to address domestic violence and homelessness issues. We have clients that are supported from as little as one hour a week up to 24/7 dedication.
