| I’m an experienced healthcare professional with 10+ years experience in diagnostic imaging. In recent years I’ve changed careers to focus on caring for seniors in their homes. In the past few months I’ve been employed as a caregiver to an Alzheimer’s patient, providing care such as bathing, meal preparation and companionship.

| I have worked at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for a little bit helping transport patients out of the E.R into other care units as desired by nurse staff. With this position I was responsible for all patients children to seniors in assisting them with their needs. I am very responsible individual with extraordinary care knowledge for that I have taken care of my grandmother, uncles and aunties when they’ve undergone surgeries/ injuries and aren’t able to get around as easily. I also am very understanding when it comes to dementia or Alzheimer’s for I have had experience helping out with my family when times get tough for everyone. I spend countless hours with my own grand parents & great grand parents, learning & gaining a great deal from each & everyone of them. I have my first aid & CPR. As well, I am trained in wilderness first aid so I know how to use my resources. I decided to enter the health care field as I wanted to do a job that helped people. I have always enjoyed time around seniors, listening to their advice and stories. It's a privilege to be a part of their care. I'm happy to assist with cleaning, meals, personal care, companionship, errands, and transportation.

| I had my parents living with me for about 10 years. During that time, my Dad had a few health issues. He had dementia, and although was a challenge, I do not regret the time that I got to spend with him. I am single, and would love to spend time with others, taking them shopping, to appointments, and just visiting.

| I have over 20 years experience in the customer service industry. I take pride in being able to provide an excellent experience in whatever industry I’m in. While I have no official experience in this industry, I feel I have the aptitude and personality that it takes to excel. I have a very caring personality and often look after my friends and their children when they are ill, earning the nickname “mother”. I have an extremely gentle touch and a keen listening ear. I have looked after my own step brother growing up who was severely mentally challenged. This included entertaining, teaching, cooking, cleaning, bathing, and adult diaper changing. While it has been many years I find I miss being able to provide care for those who are in need.

We are different because we offer a broader variety of services than other agencies. A simple list of provided services is to imply that these are finite, and mutually exclusive, whereas this is seldom the case in health care. We consider our services a very broad form of respite and community aid (in itself, a form of respite for society). Specialized attention includes care for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, neurological disorders and other needs, persons of all ages with developmental disorders, nursing care for a variety of needs such as seniors care and dementia care, assistance and support through the various stages of pregnancy and childbirth, for accident victims, and other extensions in support of the community to address domestic violence and homelessness issues. We have clients that are supported from as little as one hour a week up to 24/7 dedication.
