| Hello, I am a registered and certified Health Care Aide. I have been a certified Health Care Aide for eight years and have worked in many places like Hospice, Supportive living facilities as well as done private caregiving (Home Care) throughout the Calgary and Okotoks region. I have experience working in a dementia unit and doing one on one work with behaviour mapping documentation and lots of redirecting. I am also a registered Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant, with extensive knowledge on equipment, ADL modification and different exercises. I have experience with lifts, transfers and knowledge of proper safety protocols as well as experience working in speech pathology. I have done two years with Alberta Heaths Services as a Speech Assistant working on the front lines helping people with their recovery. Throughout my years I have done lots of different jobs with elderly and disabled people, this is simply the population of people I love to work with and where I want to make a difference. My strongest quality is my communication skills and ability to adapt to different environments that are especially people orientated. I am a reliable person as well as have reliable transportation.

| Good day, I’m looking for a part-time role that I can do in the evenings and/or weekends. Growing up; I was raised to treat my elders with respect and kindness. As a teen, we moved my Great Aunt into our home. My Mom taught me how to care for her and administered insulin and morphine. Over various years, I assisted with other seniors; errands and chores. The last senior; was my mother. She passed in 2019. The last few years of her life; I fed her; provided personal care; wound and diabetic care. I’m getting my standard first aid course on June 10th.

| I've worked as a Care Coordinator in a Seniors Lodge and have education in Dementia Care. I feel I have a compassion and understanding of the elderly and their needs, feeling privileged to work with seniors in all capacities. I have volunteered back home in Northern Ontario at senior homes and I took care of my grandmother and mother in their declining years. I have many years experience in care work. cooking and cleaning, personal hygiene, nail and foot care, mobility support and voyager lifts into and out of wheelchairs/bed/toilet, etc. And experience in the Easy Stand 5000 mobility machine... also aromatherapy massage.
