My experience caring for pets goes back as far as I can remember. Growing up in a small town in New Brunswick, I got used to caring for farm animals at a young age, and got my first dog and cat when I was 5. Throughout my life, I have had 4 dogs, 6 cats, 2 birds, a snake, a turtle, 6 ferrets, 13 rats, numerous fish, 2 geckos, and a Chinese water dragon. By the time I was 15, I was volunteering at the local SPCA, when I was 19, I started working with the SPA, which is an organization that goes after puppy mills, and when I was 21, I started an apprenticeship for dog behaviour, and I am now running my own business training and rehabilitating dogs.
To explain why I'm passionate about what I do is a hard task. If I had to summarize it, I would say that these animals that we take as pets, deserve our utmost respect, and 110% of our effort to provide happy and fulfilled lives, and my life's mission is to make sure that I can provide that to as many animals as possible.
