We are seeking a qualified professional with experience in speech and social skills development for a young child aged 5.5 years. The ideal candidate will have a background in working with children with special needs, particularly those with exceptional verbal communication skills. The child in question already has a foundational vocabulary and demonstrates an eagerness to communicate, often attempting to repeat words. They show a notable interest in music, specifically nursery rhymes, which can be utilized as a therapeutic tool during sessions. The location is Mississauga, Ontario. Private family is seeking a mature, caring companion (50 yrs +) available for 5 hours on Saturdays, and 5 hours on Sundays. This individual would provide gentle support for a very high functioning male in his 50’s who has a mild intellectual disability. Supports would include personal care prompting, simple meal prep and light home care as well as social skills modeling. Companion could also provide guidance with goal setting, recreation and leisure pursuits, and community integration. Client is very kind, personable, enjoys music, watching sports, chatting, bowling, and movies. Pay to be negotiated with family. The position is available October 2024. Give her a bath in the morning, walk around the neighbourhood, change her diapers, give her boost milk. She has a hybrid wheelchair/stroller for transportation. To give respite to mother to prepare lunch and or buy groceries or do other errands around the house or get a nap. She takes Tegretol medication in the morning for epilepsy. She hasn't had an epilepsy for many years ~10 years. Warning: we have an aggressive, untrained medium sized dog in the house.

This position focuses on supporting a 20-year-old nonspeaking autistic person in various aspects of daily life. The role involves being a Communication Regulation Partner (training provided), encouraging physical activity, supporting motor skill development through arts and crafts, and promoting social engagement through games and leisure activities. - Background in supporting individuals with disabilities, particularly in special needs education. - Prior experience working with autism or in special needs education. - Certification or experience in occupational therapy is preferred. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Willingness to learn and apply new communication methods. - Ability to support a variety of physical and creative activities.

My 6 year's old daughter will be starting summer camp on July 8th. We are looking to find someone who can accompany her to camp and ensure she has a great time. This is to help her navigate camp activities, ensures she's having fun with others and stays safe. She is potty trained but may need help or support in new environment. We do not want to leave her by herself at summer camp especially since camp may have young kids as volunteers hence we require adequate attention on her. She is a sweet child, she was non verbal but has some speeches now with the help of speech therapy. She is preverbal and would help nudging her on request and navigating different activities. Also helping her regulate when she is tired or would not join activities. We just need someone to keep an eye on her and ensures she is safe , not hurt and she is having fun.
