After-School Caregiver for 7-Year-Old Boy
Seeking a reliable and compassionate caregiver to provide after-school care for an energetic 7-year-old boy with Autism Spectrum Disorder-( specifcally Asperger's) and ADHD.
Responsibilities:
- School Pick-up: Pick up the child from school around at 3:15 PM- or meet at home from bus stop
- Transportation: Provide transportation to and from after-school activities as needed.
- Homework Assistance: Assist with homework completion, ensuring a structured and supportive learning environment.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare and supervise healthy snacks and light meals.
- Personal Care: Assist with bathing and other personal hygiene tasks as needed.
- Engaging Activities: Plan and supervise age-appropriate activities, such as indoor and outdoor play, creative arts, and social interaction.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized environment in the designated areas.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM/9:00 PM (flexible hours may be required)
Qualifications:
-Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs (preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
$313 - $40215 Hr. / Week

My daughter's a 3yo with ASD. She is non verbal, has sensitivities to sounds and spends a lot of her day communicating through screams and cries. She's such a sweetheart when she in a good mood and we often don't know why she is upset. She is involved in many programs and my needs for care will change over time. The hours I put in are flexible to an extent and I exaggerated the amount slightly just to be safe. I only need care for her and someone to interact and play with her.
