Housekeeping Jobs in Kanata

Looking for a long term housekeeper/house manager for a family with various disabilities. Someone who is kind and considerate, and understands unique challenges the family is facing. Not too proud to clean a bathroom at the beginning, but is capable to slowly take over the management of the entire household. Located in Kanata South/Bridlewood. Starter schedule is 2 hours 5 days per week (10 hours per week), holidays and vacation paid at daily rate. Ideal hours are 10am to 12pm, but will work with your schedule. Friendly dog and a cat live in the house. Starter duties include: - Unload/load dishwasher, tidy up kitchen, take out recycling - Fold laundry (we have a lot of dishes and laundry due to the nature of disabilities) - Check fridge and pantry against the list of food staples and make a shopping list - Run vacuum over the main living area - Refill hand soap, tissues, towels Duties to be slowly added: - Light cooking - Light shopping - Light cleaning - Short dog walks - Take care of house plants Building up to eventually: - Manage all aspect of the household, including hired help if needed - Ensure house is clean, meals are planned and prepared, laundry is organized, pets and plants are taken care of - Identify and arrange for small repairs as needed - Slowing and kindly involve youths with disabilities into housekeeping tasks, teaching them important life skills Looking forward to hearing from you!
