This decision came about after witnessing the difficulties my mother went through after she was widowed and not able to do so many things for herself. When she had Alzheimers, I spent many weekends helping her in her assisted living apartment and interacting with other residents like her. I understand their needs for performing activities of daily living as well as mental and physical stimulation.
