About Sophie

Hello my name is Sophie. I am rising sophomore at James Madison University studying English and Secondary Education. I am working towards becoming a high school English teacher! I work with kids in an educational setting as a substitute teacher for Public Schools. I also taught private and group swim lessons every summer during high school. These positions have given me plenty of experience working with kids at different skill levels and different personalities. I can certainly help with reading and writing. I can teach elementary and middle school math. I also speak Spanish at a beginner/intermediate level, so I could help with low level Spanish homework. In my years as a student, I have accumulated successful time management, study habits, and test taking strategies as a student that I will pass along. I would love to help your child succeed in school!
