In Summer 2020, I graduated from Washington State University summa cum laude with a BA in English and Spanish, as well as a concentration in Education. Presently, I am pursuing my Master's in Gifted Education from Johns Hopkins University. I spent one year working with fifth grade students at a school for dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. I am certified in Level 1 Slingerland, an adaptation in Orton-Gillingham. This year I am working with first grade students at a school for gifted learners. I also have over six years of experience working as a tutor, from elementary to college level. I am currently only looking for tutoring or enrichment education in literacy and/ or math.

We feel so fortunately to have Renee tutoring our son. She is very patient, accommodating and has amazing communication. She truly has a love for learning and teaching! She personalizes her teaching methods to our son's individuals needs which is very helpful. She has many different approaches and styles to insure that the student is getting the most out of their learning experience. I highly recommend Renee!
