About Jessica

Hi, my name is Jessica! I'm an English teacher with a passion for students, joy for learning, and experience with all grade levels. I have been teaching middle and high school ELA for five years and hope to spend some of my time this summer tutoring local students so they can start next year prepared and confident. In addition to teaching secondary English, I have tutored middle school students in history and math, and worked part-time at the University of Portland running their summer tutoring program for K-8 students. I am passionate about creating engaging, enriching, positive experiences for students and make learning fun by centering student-choice in each lesson.
