About Melissa

I know what it was like when I was younger I had trouble asking for help. I felt empowered by being able to work with someone one on one and finish the session with better knowledge so that's what I'd like to give back. I'm looking for a job that has flexibility and decent wages. I already have a full-time job, this is just a little side job that could be rewarding. I've been teaching informal and formal for 6 years. I started teaching at a child development center at an Indian reservation in Auburn Washington teaching stem to elementary kids. I like to read, paint by numbers, paintings, hiking, working out and go to see movies. One thing you should know about me is i'm a good communicator and I am sensitive to the safety issues that families could have. Whatever parameters the family feels comfortable with im okay with. But I asked that there is a quiet environment while I am tutoring with the child. My skills include giving examples, modeling the knowledge and being patient.
