About Abby

I have been teaching since 2009, mainly substituting for grades kindergarten through sixth grade and occasionally seventh through 12th grade for the metro-Portland area. During the 2011-12 school year, I had the privilege of teaching 4th grade in a School District. I am looking for a positions that work well with my teaching schedule, afternoon/evenings & weekends or is full-time from now through the summer. Ideally, it would be nice to find a family(s) that I could potentially work with for years to come. I am a dedicated and caring person with a fun personality that easily fits in with most people/families. I love to work hard and play hard. I'm not afraid to ask questions when I am unsure of what you want/need, but also not afraid to take charge and make responsible decisions when necessary. In my free-time, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, yoga, reading, cooking (although I'm not such a great baker, sorry), quilting/craft projects and meeting up with friends and family for some quality catch-up time.
