About Jacob

I'm a technical writer in the software industry. Over the years, I've helped friends and family with writing projects, college applications, and other expressions of the written word. I love grammar rules, but more than that, have a passion for psychology and personal expression. Whenever someone asks me for help with their writing, my goal is to find ways to inspire them to tap into their own voice, not to offer mine as a replacement. I don't want to give suggestions that are immediately applied to a draft, but rather enable people to get in touch with their own process and feel confident expressing themselves with the written word. One thing you should know about me is I'm very community-oriented and want tutoring to be more than just a job. I care about everyone I meet and see on a regular basis, and I want to help people grow. I already have a full-time job, and this is my way of giving back to my community.
