About Maria

I am a bilingual teacher with many years of experience teaching and tutoring Spanish, ESL and other subjects such as reading, and writing to children. I have a Master's degree in Education, concentration in TESOL I am able to work with children, 1 to 18-year-old, college students and adults. I adapt my lessons according to the student's learning style, level and needs. I also have experience working with children with special needs, i. e. dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, and autism. I try to implement different activities and make my classes dynamic and enjoyable. I think learning a subject, or language, doesn't need to be difficult and can be fun. Also, I have been working as a caregiver/nanny, taking care of children from newborn to teenagers; and after-school helper. I enjoy being with kids; teaching them many different things; or, helping them to develop their physical, emotional, and mental skills based on their age. I can be a teacher, nanny or mentor for children.
