About Margaret

I'd describe my personality as patient, adaptable and open. I like tutoring because it allows me to support and motivate students to reinforce their progress and build their self confidence. I'm looking for a job that allows me to support students and their families by removing some of the stress and anxiety around the college application process. I started tutoring when I completed my certificate in College Admissions Advising from the University of California Berkeley Extension program in 2012. In my spare time, I like to read, cook, hit the beach and spend time with my family. One thing you should know about me is I've helped numerous high school students, including my own, successfully navigate college applications and find their college fit. My skills include setting up an easy structure to manage time and deadlines, striking up a strong and trusting rapport with students and their families, and bringing a calm reassurance to the college application process.
