About Emma

With a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and three years of hands-on experience teaching 3rd and 4th grade, I am passionate about helping young learners reach their full potential. My approach is student-centered, focusing on creating engaging, supportive learning environments tailored to each child's unique needs. I'd describe my personality as easy going, patient and humorous! I like tutoring because it allows me to work closely with students and see their individual growth firsthand. Helping a child overcome challenges and build confidence in their abilities is incredibly rewarding. I enjoy creating personalized learning experiences that make difficult concepts click, fostering both academic success and a lifelong love of learning. I started tutoring when I was studying elementary education at UNCW in 2018. In my spare time, I like to go to the beach, spend time with friends and family and excersize!
