About Liyanna

I'd describe myself as reliable, resourceful & optimistic! My skills include adaptability, patience & compassion. One thing you should know about me is that I am a medical student with a flexible schedule (studying for boards exam). I am the oldest of 5 children. I started working with kids about 11 years ago as a Bigs & Littles mentor with elementary students. During the summer, I volunteered at a day camp as a camp counselor. In undergrad, I was a K-5 reading tutor, volunteered at an afterschool program to do homework help, and participated in a mentorship program with high school students. In my spare time, I like to take care of my plants. I have multiple shelves of house plants. It's very calming to water them and I enjoy watching them flourish. I enjoy working with children because I am inspired by their joy, enthusiasm, wonder. Education: I am pursuing my degree in medicine. I graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a BS in Public Health and MS in Health Promotion.
