About Madison

Hello! I am currently enrolled at Kent State University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. I plan to become a mental health counselor for adolescents and love working with children. I come from a background of educators so I grew up working with children through volunteer opportunities, for example, leading small group lessons with students from grades 2nd-4th. I have created engaging lessons and activities for children as a camp counselor also. Through my internship as a program facilitator I will lead educational activities regarding identity, leadership, and goal setting for adolescents. The most important aspect of childcare for me is the relationship that is built with the children. My approach with childcare is to always be empathetic, inclusive, consistent, and encourage fun! I also worked part time at a dog rescue for two years so I am comfortable around all breeds of dog's.
