About Kerry

Hi! I'm Kerry. I've been taking care of children since I was 13. I've worked in a daycare, but most of my experience is in the home. I have a lot of skills that are handy both on and off the job. I love art and have a BFA in Book Arts. One of my favorite things to do with kids is teach them to make a book from one sheet of paper. I have cared for differently able, and able bodied individuals. Ranging from a teenager with Spina Bifida, to infants! In special needs care I have experience with catheterization, G-tubes, and much more. I also love to play and read books with children. I think it's important to be actively engaged with children and to really pay attention to them. I believe in the principals of RIE and Montessori and that we should listen to children :) I'd eventually like to get my Masters in Education to teach preteens, but I'm happy to have the privilege to care for children in their homes until that eventually happens. I also love animals :)
