About Aspen

Hello! I'm Aspen! I'm 22 and I just graduated from PSU with a degree in English and creative writing. I'm looking for a family in need of a long-term nanny. I just finished working at an outdoor summer camp. I got to play with kids on a farm, teach them about caring for farm animals, get them excited about the natural world, and help them make wild crafts like candles, cordage, and salves. I love to read, sing, make art, and play outside with children (of all ages)! I've done a lot of babysitting, and also have played a large role in raising my younger sister. I've also volunteered at the Dougy center, a support center for grieving children and families. I'm passionate about giving children respect and autonomy while also making sure they feel supported and seen. I believe that as childcare providers it is imperative that we are constantly checking our own biases in order to make sure we are truly being present with the little people in front of us.
