About Juliana

Along with babysitting and nanny care, I also have a real knack for tutoring. I've always been an excellent student and test taker myself, graduating from NYU with a Bachelor's in Neuroscience along with minors in Chemistry and Studio Art. I currently am getting my Master's in Social Work from Loyola University. I'm confident I can master and teach any subject thrown at me. For the past 1. 5yrs, I've been working with a 4th grade student who was reading at a 2nd grade level. With my help, he is now up to a fourth grade reading level. Although I am extremely proud of his progress in reading and phonics, the biggest change I've noticed is his excitement about school has taken a complete 180. From starting off our sessions reluctant to even open his backpack, my student now comes to tutoring excited and bragging to me about his reading and homework accomplishments. With my diverse educational background and my passion for teaching, I think I would be a great fit for your student!
